John Giuliani

The son of Italian immigrants, John studied art at Pratt Institute in New York and apprenticed with Russian icon master, Vladislav Andreyev. Soon his religious calling took precedence, and he was ordained as a Catholic priest, giving his life to the church as a chaplain and priest while continuing to study the humanities.
In recent years he returned to his art bringing to bear his strong feelings about Native Americans and depicting them as Christian saints, honoring their dignity and native spirituality and celebrating the beauty of their crafts.
In 2008 John won a Faith&Form/IFRAA Visual Arts Award for his work titled Bolivian St. Christopher and Child.
